The Holiday Movie Series (A Drop Off Event!)

This holiday season, the Village of Nyack is delighted to announce the "Holiday Movie Series" of drop-off events on Saturdays at the Nyack Center. Every Saturday afternoon from 12-4PM in December, we'll be playing holiday movies on a big screen, with popcorn, snacks, and a set of holiday crafts (for the kids who get bored with the movie).

It's a great way to spend a Saturday for the whole family. Drop the kids off for a few hours of holiday movies and/or arts and crafts, all in a supervised and safe location at the Nyack Center. And while your kids have a great time with the wonderful people at the Nyack Center, you can go shop, sip, and sup in Nyack!

Tickets are only $5, which includes the movies, crafts, snacks, and drinks. We have limited space, though, so please plan to get your tickets as soon as possible.

Please note that this is only for children aged 5-12, who know how to use the bathroom.

What's the schedule for the Movie drop off-events

The events are all on Saturdays at the Nyack Center from 12PM-4PM

Who is going to be supervising my kids?

All the Movie Events have experienced staff supervising the events. The Nyack Center provides pre-and after-school care to kids all year long, and it will be members of that same staffing group who will be working at the Workshops.

What will the kids be doing?

They can sit and watch the movie, of course. But we are also going to be providing an array of arts and crafts opportunities for the kids at all the events.

Are you providing food and drink?

We will not be providing a "meal," but each event will have snack chips, water, and organic juices boxes, all of which is included in your ticket.

What ages can you accommodate?

We can only take kids who are ages 5-12 and can use the bathroom.

Can I stay with my kids?

If you wish to accompany your kids to the event, you are welcome to do so. But we do intend the event as a "drop-off" event so you can enjoy some time on your own shopping and dining in Nyack.

How many kids will there be at each event?

We are limiting the Workshops to 60 children on the weekend afternoon events.

Are you taking walk-ins?

We will take walk-ins if we do not sell out the venues for a particular event. We will post announcements in the blog if there are spaces open each week, or if we get cancelations.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets are $5 per child, and you can buy them at www.nyack.link/ticket.

My ticket gives a starting time -- Do I have to be there at that exact time?

No, that's just when the event opens. The afternoon events are 12-4PM. You can drop your kids off anytime within that window, but we do strongly request that you pick them on time.
