The Nyack Holiday Decorating Contests

To enter either the Downtown or Home Decorating Contest, just go to www.nyack.link/enter and fill out the short form.

To vote for either contest, just go to www.nyack.link/vote, which has a form showing all the contestants and allowing you to choose all your favorites. 

Yes, we have a Google Map created just for the contest, which contains the address of every contest in both the Downtown and Home Decorating Contests.  You can find it at www.nyack.link/contestmap

You can vote for as many of the contestants as you wish. You don't have to pick just one.  The contestant in each contest that gets the most checkmark votes will be the winner.

To vote, you'll need to register with your google address, so that you can only vote once per account.  But you can change or add to your votes as many times as you want.  

Yes, because you're registered with your Google account, you can go back and change your votes -- which means that you don't need to see all the contestants at once. You can always go back to your form and add more votes as you see more businesses and homes that you like.

Well, the whole point of the Home Decorating Contest is to encourage people to go by your home to check out your decorations, which they can't do if we don't provide your address.  Please note that we only include your street address in the map -- no names or phone numbers.   If you can't share your home address, you probably shouldn't enter the contest.  

We hope to take all contestants, but we reserve the right to limit contestants to people who do more than the "average" job in decorating their homes.  We don't want to encourage people to drive out of their way to see a home if it's just a single string of lights over the windows.  But there's no harm in entering! 

We will open up the map and the voting on Black Friday, November 29th, but we will still take entries until Friday, December 7th.  We will continue voting until Monday, December 23rd, when we will announce the winners.

The contest was created by the Nyack Business Council, an appointed board of the Village of Nyack dedicated to building our downtown business community.  The prizes are provided bythe Village of Nyack.  The contest is administered by We Love Nyack, a nonprofit entity.
